MTV’s HappyHour program opener and bumper (MTV in Amsterdam) |
Duties: |
3D Animation |
Description: |
These animations reference kinetic sculpture and art, specifically, ‘Do Nothing Machines’. 21-19 employed me to build this after they nutted out the concept and design. I handled all the 3D build and animation while Dom at 21-19 followed it with the atmosphere and lens effects and the grade. The sound was produced externally and unfortunately I never received a copy of the stitched together sound and vision (These are silent). |

La Trobe’s Graduate School of Management 30 second TV Advert |
Duties: |
3D Animation |
Description: |
A bunch of building and train models were bought for this project but they were all too detailed and needed to be simplified quite a bit before the project would work smoothly and the right look was achieved. The voiceover talks about expanding and developing prospects and so the buildings and train line depicts this by expanding into a city. This was a fun project to work on and I’m quite proud of the look that we achieved. 21-19 employed me to build this after they nutted out the concept. |

Vividas Instructional Videos |
Duties: |
Animation, Modeling, Texturing, Editing |
Description: |
“Vividas” technology allowed for high quality, fast streaming video on the internet. Even when current video technologies were not prevelant. They allow for simple streaming of pre recorded videos and also streaming or live events. To describe how their technology produced such good results I was employed to animate the process. Lava Web Creations employed me to take the design in storyboard form, that they had created for Vividas, and turn it into motion. There were certain elements which required interpretation and addition (like the movement and sparks), but Yuan at Lava did a great job on the inital design. At the start of the project Nick, the sound engineer, created some mood pieces. A track was chosen and I animated with it’s rythm in mind. After the whole sequences animation was finalised Nick finished the soundtrack and tailored it to suit the elements of the animation – which really helps it shine. |

Straight out of uni, an old lecturer asked me to make some chapter intros for a Swinburne CDrom. These are them. Each one ends on a red or black square which was later treated like a bullet point in the chapter title. I got the most satisfaction from designing the audio on this one. |
