Description:
 This project is interesting in that I was not present at the start of the project, nor at the end. I arrived after the inital design and elements were created and the overall concept was decided on. I than did work adjusting the design (the dirtier, darker textured feel comes from me) and animating the camera (the buildings were animated later) and adding in expressions to automate the building equaliser animationsto the music.
The advertising agency DDB employed me on this one and Chad did a good job of finishing it up.

 “Simply the Best” is a sports highlight show. Reel Pictures employed me to design and animate the opening sequence. The client wanted a very pompous and traditional feeling to it.

Description:
 “Vividas” technology allowed for high quality, fast streaming video on the internet. Even when current video technologies were not prevelant. They allow for simple streaming of pre recorded videos and also streaming or live events. To describe how their technology produced such good results I was employed to animate the process. Lava Web Creations employed me to take the design in storyboard form, that they had created for Vividas, and turn it into motion. There were certain elements which required interpretation and addition (like the movement and sparks), but Yuan at Lava did a great job on the inital design.

At the start of the project Nick, the sound engineer, created some mood pieces. A track was chosen and I animated with it’s rythm in mind. After the whole sequences animation was finalised Nick finished the soundtrack and tailored it to suit the elements of the animation – which really helps it shine.

Qantas – Inflight Entertainment Promo

Description:
 When Qantas adopt a new plane, it also created an in-seat entertainment system. This promotional piece for that system. Reel Pictures employed me to design and animate this sequence. The client wanted the feeling of the original ipod ads where colour silhouettes dance around on coloured backgorunds to rock music. Since the content of this piece is vastly different to people dancing, this is my adaptation of the style.

Description:
 Swing Patrol is a dance company which began in Melbourne, Australia. They often brought out DVD’s showing highlights from their events. Having seen a bunch of these DVD’s I approached them for the opportunity to create a new DVD menu for one of their DVD’s. It involved modeling their logo in 3d and animating it and the menu elements.

Description:
 I created this promo video for Caramel Creative. The audio, 3d renderings, and footage were all provided by Caramel Creative and their other contractors. I was enlisted to edit it together and animate the transitions – I also created some subtle 3d effects on the text in this piece, while the rest of the design’s fairly simple but elegant.

I created this piece without thought for sound and the sound engineer did a great job of tieing it all together.
